The logo features a stylized flame enclosed in a leaf shape, next to the word "Folklore" in elegant, serif font on a black background.
A chef, wearing a black beanie and black apron, prepares to plate a dish in a restaurant kitchen with wood-paneled walls and shelves holding black bowls.

Seth Stowaway is executive chef and partner of Folklore, the 10-seat tasting salon in San Francisco’s Financial District, where his deeply personal approach to cooking and hospitality draws on Northern California's seasons, purveyors and culinary traditions. Before opening Folklore, Stowaway founded Osito, the Michelin-starred restaurant that marked the beginning of his career as a restaurateur.

Pierce Cavallero is a Bay Area native with decades of experience in hospitality.

Today, Pierce serves as Director of Operations and Managing Partner at Folklore and the Managing Partner of Century Stores Inc., an investment firm focused on acquiring and operating passive-income properties. His diverse background as an operator, entrepreneur, and investor, combined with a genuine curiosity for people and places, shapes his thoughtful approach to hospitality and business.
